Salute to Morons, Thiefs and the Gen Pop

Published Aug 26, 2011

It's a Friday so I thought I'd keep it light and just highlight some of the more moronic people in our society who drive us nuts, anger us or act out of idiocy.

My brother in law saw a heavy set woman, who obviously had no trouble walking, get into her new Jaguar in a handicapped space (no sticker) while he waited for his wife in Walgreen's. Reason for the delay? The woman was using food stamps for candy and scotch. What about gas for that luxury sedan? Is this what welfare was designed for?

I just saw on TV, two guys in their 20's, playing in the surf in Myrtle Beach, disappear under the waves as Hurricane Irene showed her fury. Luckily, these two morons emerged from the water, shaken, wet and laughing. They were lucky..this time.

Bachman's accessibility to the media means closing off arrivals at rallies and airports and elbowing reporters who try and get in to answer a question. Transparency? I don't think she knows what the word means. Imagine if the country thinks she's best to lead us. Wouldn't it be easier for her to just start a Nixon Enemies List instead?

An Arizona woman's car window was smashed by local shoppers to rescue her two-year old daughter, who was in the back seat with the car turned off and the windows rolled up, with the temperature inside a deadly 140 degrees. The child is recovering and the mother said she didn't know the child was in the back seat. Biggest surprise? The child was returned to her mother instead of Child Protective Services. You need a license to have a dog but anyone can raise a child.

Anyone buying Rev. Al Sharpton's transformation to be a respected talk show commentator? For all the disorder and violence he perpetuated in the streets of New York for so many decades, why does he command respect and big dollars for conning people to think he speaks for our vibrant African-American society? They see right through him..why don't the rest of us? Oh wait, a former john got his own show on CNN, but got 'screwed' again when they cancelled him.

Obama to cut his vacation early because of: Hurricane Irene. Everyone deserves a vacation but use some common sense. Cut the photo ops of teeing off and be a little humble. Nero fiddled while Rome burned. How many Labor Day family events will be cancelled because the labor unemployment numbers are so high and people can't afford to feed their families? At least when Bill Clinton said he "felt our pain," we believed him.

Never thought I'd quote Jeb Bush but he said yesterday that just being against Obama is not enough, you have to have solutions. He said 'ascribing bad motives to the guy is wrong.' I agree.

Finally, Moron of the Week goes to baseball veteran Lenny Dykstra who was placing ads on Craigslist requesting a personal assistant or housekeeping services. The victims allege when they arrive, they were informed that the job also requires massage service and then he (Dykstra) would disrobe and he would expose himself. Isn't that what Congress is for?
