What is SwingPlex?
SwingPlex is a complete sports specific conditioning program strictly dedicated to enhance golf performance. This program is designed to effectively develop swing speed, power, concentration, endurance, balance and flexibility. These developments are achieved by several methods of innovative and classical sports specific training techniques.
Intelligent approach
What is Proprioception and why is it important to golf? Proprioception can be defined as the sense of controlling your body in motion through space and time. The golf swing is a pure proprioceptive movement.
a) from address, club and body move precisely through a selected space.
b) the movement through this space requires precise timing and rhythm.
Proprioception in a sense, equals "feel". Proprioception works like a golfer's ESP (extra sensory perception). It bonds together the many elements essential to a solid golf shot. The equilibrium of swing balance, rotational flexibility, dynamic strength, precise timing and rhythm become an athletic proprioceptive movement.
Space...freedom of movement is completely dependent upon the availability of space. Without the proper amount of space within the body, efficiency of movement is certainly compromised. When referring to space within the body the individual enjoys a free flowing sensation from deep inside the joints of an openness with out restrictions and therefore is able to easily bend, move and stretch the body. Space becomes absolutely essential when we shift our perspective and view space from within the body as the foundation of all physical movement. Golfers are beginning to condition themselves to increase mobility, consistency, balance and power in their golf swing. SwingPlex offers a unique approach to developing space with in the body for overall flexibility. This approach includes creative dynamic stretching, passive stretching and active stretching techniques to facilitate the essential element of mobility for every golf swing.
Multiple Task, Multiple Joint Training (MTMJ)
The SwingPlex program is proud to introduce the Multiple Task, Multiple Joint training concept or (MTMJ). MTMJ exercise techniques are creative proprioceptive exercises that address the efficient use of time and energy. An MTMJ exercise can be described as a complex physical movement which places the whole body in motion. These new and creative types of exercise techniques require the golfer to attain high levels of concentration and focus. Most conventional exercise techniques require very little thought. However, when performing MTMJ techniques, the brain is an essential component utilized for visualization and concentration. This is necessary in order to achieve the essential elements of balance, rhythm, timing, flexibility and coordination which are congruent to every MTMJ technique. This type of training is fun, exciting and challenging!
