Litchfield Park, Arizona is a planned residential community in Maricopa County located 16 miles west of downtown Phoenix. It is within two miles of Interstate 10, making it one of the most convenient suburban communities in the Phoenix Valley. It is also one of the most scenic and charming towns in the area. Litchfield Park originally began as a company town that centered around the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company's agricultural pursuits in the area. It was founded and named after Goodyear junior executive Paul Litchfield in 1926. Goodyear began community master-planning in the 1960s to develop the company town into a vibrant community that would flourish on its own. The efforts were successful, and the town was incorporated in 1987.

This is a 26,000-acre park that contains ancient petroglyphs as well as natural rock water tanks that were used by Indians inhabiting the area. Estrella Mountain Regional Park is a 19,000-acre park that features golfing, camping, hiking and horseback riding trails.
