Paradise Valley is located in Maricopa County northeast of downtown Phoenix. It is a small community centered between Phoenix and Scottsdale, and Carefree and Fountain Hills are located nearby. Pleasant Valley was incorporated in 1961 and encompasses 16 square miles.
Although it is relatively small in size and has a population of only around 15,000, Paradise Valley features twelve resorts and is a very popular tourist destination.
