Breakfast at Tiffany’s Wine Country Brunch Event Raises $20,000

Sunday, September 25 was an unforgettable day at The Camby in Phoenix benefiting Scottsdale League for the Arts. The “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” Wine Country Brunch attracted hundreds of guests, many of whom turned out in their finest homage to Audrey Hepburn’s iconic silver screen wardrobe from the classic film. While scenes from “Breakfast at Tiffany’s played on the walls around the ballroom, guests dined on some of the most delectable brunch noshes from The Camby, Arcadia Farms, Benedict’s Catering, The Herb Box Catering and Events and Yancey’s Fancy.

The Camby has only been open in the former Ritz-Carlton space for about a year, but it has already made a memorable impact on the Valley with beautiful events like this one. The hotel exuded a refined elegance and mimosas greeted guests at the event, along with a variety of wines and champagnes. Our group raved about the coconut and peach flavored champagnes which really set the mood for the event.

There were so many delicious dishes for breakfast, it was impossible to try them all. particularly enjoyed the beignets with lemon curd from The Camby, the pulled pork has with sweet potatoes from Arcadia Farms, the bacon and date scones from Benedict’s Catering and the mini chicken and waffle skewers from The Herb Box.

The “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” Wine Country Brunch included a silent auction and “surprise” gift bags that were sold immediately prior to the event. Gift bags included everything from wine and hostess gifts to tickets and gift certificates to various local businesses. In total, the event raised $20,000 for Scottsdale League for the Arts to benefit its grants program.

The Scottsdale League for the Arts raises funds for the arts by hosting social events throughout the year. 100 percent of net event proceeds are donated to a wide range of non-profit arts organizations through the League’s grants program. The primary source of grant funding is raised through the League’s signature event, the Scottsdale Culinary Festival. The festival is held annually in April and offers a variety of culinary experiences from the ultra-chic to casual.
