Craft 64 has been rockin’ and rollin’ in Old Town Scottsdale for a little more than a year now and owner and brewmaster James Swann is thrilled with the accolades that the gastopub has been receiving from friends, fans and publications.

“I can tell you this,” says Swann. “We were nominated for ‘Best Gourmet Pizza’ in the Valley by ‘New Times.’ On September 29th, they’ll pick a winner and we really hope that it’s us!” Part of the appeal of Craft 64’s wood-fired pizzas is its fresh, local ingredients and the staff’s attention to detail in creating the mouthwatering masterpieces.

“We do have new beers that we will be brewing at SunUp Brewing Co., including a winter beer made with nutmeg and raspberry,” Swann explains. “We’ll also make a pale ale with blood oranges. Those will be in addition to the beers we already sell.” Although Craft 64 is a gastropub and brewery, it physically doesn’t have the space to brew beer, so the process is done at the SunUp Brewing Co. in Phoenix.

“We have new salad and pizza specials every week,” explains Swann. “Everything is sourced locally – from the beer to everything in the kitchen. It’s who we are!”

Now that the weather is cooling down, don’t miss the chance to take advantage of the patio seating at Craft 64. In addition to local beer, you’ll also find a wonderful assortment of craft cocktails, appetizers, salads, sandwiches and dessert.

Whether you go for the food and stay for the beer or vice versa, you’ll be glad that you visited Craft 64. Cleverly named for the fact that there are 64 ounces in a growler of beer (and yes, they do fill growlers), Craft 64 effectively merges at the intersection of gastropub, wine bar and artisan pizzeria. You will also enjoy the camaraderie and atmosphere that lives in Craft 64 as it is located in the second oldest home in Scottsdale. Come and find out what all the buzz is about at Craft 64!
