(Un)certainty at Tilt Gallery Scottsdale until May 10

tilt gallery invites you to (Un)certainty
curated by Ellee Bokharachi

(Un)certainty, which consists of two video installations by 2Niks Pictures collective and photographs by Joy Goldkind, Gloria Baker Feinstein, and Kris Sanford will be a one week exhibition at Tilt Gallery, from May 3, to May 10, 2016. The video installations address societal issues and paradoxical relationships between human beings and their surrounding. These video installations are presented by the Tehran-based performance artists, Masoud Nikdel and Ehsan Nikbakht.

2Niks Pictures utilizes the dominant consumerism culture to critique itself. The collective perform on the streets of Tehran and record the reaction and interaction of people. They cherish humanity while warning us that human beings may as well act as a mechanism of destruction. The collective questions our certainty in taking this world for granted while depicts our naive ignorance to its perils.

Masoud Nikdel is a performance artist as well as an sculptor.

Ehsan Nikbakht is a movie director and a documentary filmmaker.

The reception will take place on
Thursday, May 5, 7-9pm, during Scottsdale's ArtWalk

The curator will be available for questions and conversation.
Exhibition will remain on view until Tuesday, May 10, 2016
