Emergency Services of Scottsdale

If you are having an emergency ALWAYS call “911” first. Many of the numbers here are general information numbers and where you can turn to for assistance. If you are not having an emergency, please use the rest of this contact information.

If someone has ingested or inhaled something you are not sure is poisonous, contact the American Association of Poison Control Centers at 1-800-222-1222 immediately.

Whether you live in Scottsdale or are visiting to see the sights and enjoy the art, mountains, or wildlife, it is good to have a list of emergency services nearby should something arise or you have questions. Scottsdale has its own police force, firefighters, and hospitals. The firefighters also conduct the mountain rescues should someone need help while hiking on the nearby trails or in the surrounding hills and mountains. There are two medical centers located within Scottsdale to help provide easy access to medical care all over the city.

Some services that work with the city are located in nearby Phoenix, AZ. Although they are in a neighboring city, they also service Scottsdale. They are very helpful when a situation arises that calls for their assistance.

The Arizona Department of Safety runs the local Highway Patrol. The west side of the city resides in the Phoenix Metro Center district and east side in the 11th district. It may be best to contact the Main Switchboard to ensure you are connected with the correct district.
