Nonprofit Career Connectors Offers Monthly Meetings Throughout Valley Providing Quality, Career-Level Hiring Opportunities for Those in Career Transition

It can be tough to lose a mid-to-higher level job position in today's volatile job market. The needs of employers and the skills of needed workers is forever changing and local nonprofit Career Connectors, a 501 (c) (3) Valley nonprofit organization is connecting individuals in career transition with quality hiring companies. Career Connectors is now announcing its summer 2015 meeting events taking place in Scottsdale, Gilbert and Phoenix.

Career Connectors events provide job-seekers face-to-face meeting time with quality employers, plus a variety of no-cost tools and professional resources including resume review and critique, business portraits, social media and LinkedIn coaching, plus educational opportunities.

Each event consists of three one hour segments that kick off with a relevant keynote speaker and topics such as "Mingling Your Way to Networking Success," "LinkedIn for Job Seekers," and "Activate Your Job Search."

Second hour presenters consist of hiring company representatives who provide full information and tips on open positions. A variety of industries are present and may include health care, high-tech, engineering, financial services, with positions targeted to unemployed or underemployed, career-level professionals.

The third hour provides networking, job search assistance, career experts, community resources, hiring companies, resume review, professional photos, LinkedIn coaching and more.

Since its launch in July 2009, Career Connectors has organized 281 events with over 300 featured employers. They have served a cumulative 20,000 meeting attendees and their LinkedIn Group now exceeds 4,700 members with new additions daily.

Career Connectors was recommended by the Department of Labor as an effective employment engagement model at The White House in Washington DC, where the organization's executive director and founder Jessica M. Pierce was a speaker.

The networking group remains one of Arizona's fastest growing job seeker programs in the Valley, and earned a spot in the Phoenix Business Journal's "The Top Five Phoenix-area networking associations" in 2014, 2013, 2012 and 2011.
